The world of Elsa Beskow
Elsa Beskow (1874-1953), Sweden's best known illustrator of children's books, obtained her inspiration from the forests in Bergslagen. Together with her family she lived for some time on the Liljendahl Estate in the vicinity of Ramsberg. This is the forest area which inspired her fairy-tale illustrations such as the pixie children in the world of the Pucks.
