Wander or cycle throughout the great natural beauty of rural Lindesberg. An area that offers both recreational pleasures and expeditions of discovery, either in the dense forests or around the many lakes in the north, or in the farmland and countryside of the south.

The Bergslag Trail
- starts at Kloten some 55 km north of Lindesberg. This 280-km trail is divided into 17 sections, each of which is 15 to 20 km long. The trail winds its way southwards over watercourses, forest paths and hilltops giving fantastic views of the countryside. There are untold opportunities to experience the wonders of nature and enjoy amazing views when wandering along the Bergslag Trail. Established resting places offering protection from the wind, and open hearths for making fires, are encountered along the trail.

The Lasse-Maja Trail,
which is 12 km long, stretches from Ösarhytten to Djupdalen in the vicinity of Ramsberg. The trail is associated with the sojourn in this area of this legendary thief. Here is the opportunity to trace the tracks and adventures of Lasse-Maja and enjoy the wonderful nature and culture of the trail.

Lasse-Maja's hidden treasure
There are many myths regarding this nationally known thief Lasse-Maja whose real name was Lars Molin. Nearly every village in the area has a tale to tell of this character who dressed as a woman when setting out on his unlawful escapades. This is the area in which he was both born and began his life of crime. The saga of Lasse-Maja tells that he buried his loot in many places.
Keep your eyes open wide, maybe you will find one of his buried treasures!

Lejakärret
- is a very rich botanical area with an extensive plant life resulting from the limestone content of the soil. A total of 12 different orchids can be found in addition to the many other varieties of plant life. Bergslagen has not only a great deal to offer to the wanderer but also for the cyclist. There are many cycle trails that are ideal for one-day outings. All that is needed for an outing on these small pathways is a tandem or bicycle rented from the Tourist Information Office, and a picnic basket.
